trying to see differently...

The more I have been shooting the more I want to try and see things a little differently. The first shot of McConnell is taken from above, the 2nd one incorporates mirror that is on the wall, and the third one is a good look of the "unseen" because she is standing on a little stool.

A different view

I was trying to get a little different view of a press conference. I took this before the actual event started, but I think it is a unique view and shows a little different side of the Capital.

Good weather

With the weather getting better there are a lot more outdoor press conferences at the Capital. This is one of my favorite shots from thsi week. I love the blue sky against the blue suit.

Low Attendance

I was at a little press release and there were not many people there, so I wanted to portray that a little with the picture. So in this shot I made it very wide to show the empty background. The four politicians get lost in the image, that was what I was going for.

Condoleezza Rice

Here are 2 shots from a hearing with Condoleezza Rice. Initially I liked the black and white better, but after some work on the color ones I'm not so sure which one I like the best.

Barack Obama

Here are a few shots of Obama I took today at the hearing he attended with General Petraeus testifying. The 2 at the bottom were taken with a 300mm lens, it was the first time I had ever used something like that. I like the top one a lot, with his name tag in front. It gives a little more interest to the surroundings then the tight ones, but the tight ones also portray a lot of emotion.
