Speed and Light

I was at a wedding this weekend and during the reception I had some down time to take a few pictures. This is a light thing the DJ had. The shutter speed was at 1/8 when I took the shot, I wanted to show some of the motion of the light. I also wanted to show the lights on the floor and that is why I framed the image the way I did. I think the lights in the foreground are really interesting.

Back t o Clemens

I thought this related well with framing. I really tried to incorporate my surroundings a little when I took this photo. I framed him in between the two photographers that were in front of me. I think it gives the photo a little different feel, this shot is something that many photographers (especially the 2 guys in front of me) don't often get.

Framing

I think this works for framing. I think there is just enough lead room for her to walk into to make it a successful image. It doesn't look like she is walking out of the frame, it still looks like she is walking into it.

I again was working a little with framing. The rule of 3rds applies here once again. The plate in the front is in the lower 3rd of the image, and the end of the table (the horizon line) is in the lower half of the image as well.

Framing

I was working of framing again. Here I wanted to include both the reflection and the person. I think I did a fairly good job of accomplishing this.

Framing

Sen. Max Baucus. I was working with framing. I used some of the rule of 3rds, with Baucus in the right third. He is the focus of the image, but his hand motion is very important to the feel so that is taking up the other 2/3rds.

Hatch take 2

I think this image works a little better then the previous image of Orrin Hatch. There is more detail in the face and it is a little less washed out. I used curves to add more detail in the face.
