Speed and Light

I was at a wedding this weekend and during the reception I had some down time to take a few pictures. This is a light thing the DJ had. The shutter speed was at 1/8 when I took the shot, I wanted to show some of the motion of the light. I also wanted to show the lights on the floor and that is why I framed the image the way I did. I think the lights in the foreground are really interesting.

Not gonna' lie, even with the explanation, all I know is that I'm looking at some cool lights, but it almost doesn't matter. The composition works, and the way the light is thrown really adds interest.

Will it work in BW? That's the true test. The leading lines work well. Eliminate any extraneous info from the shot you can. Not easy when you can't set it up.
